Born in Germany, Kai moved to England in 1994 to become a guitar maker & violin restorer.  Prior to his performance in RolePlay, he hadn't acted since his school days, and spends most of his spare time performing folk music, tango dancing or wrestling.  Roles in the past include Leonatro in Much Ado About Nothing and the balladeer in Bertolt Brecht's version of The Beggar's Opera.
